Yes! We offer fun, active birthday party packages right at our gym in Clifton Park for kids that feature either Boxing and/or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our parties include age-appropriate instruction, games, and plenty of time on the mats or bags – all led by our experienced coaches. It’s a great way to celebrate with friends while staying active and trying something new. Contact us to learn more about party options and availability!

Before Training:

  1. Pre-session shower: Take a thorough shower using a mild soap or body wash to clean your entire body, paying extra attention to areas prone to friction, such as the armpits, groin, and feet.
  2. Trim nails: Keep your fingernails and toenails short and clean to reduce the risk of scratching or causing skin abrasions during training.
  3. Clean gear: Make sure your BJJ gi, rash guard, and any training gear are freshly laundered and free from any lingering bacteria or contaminants.

After Training:

  1. Post-session shower: After each BJJ session, take another shower using an antimicrobial soap or cleanser, which can help reduce the chances of skin infections. Pay attention to areas that might have had close contact with training partners.
  2. Wash gear: Immediately wash your BJJ gi, rash guard, and any training equipment you used, as sweat and bacteria can build up on them.
  3. Hydration: Moisturize your skin after the post-training shower to help maintain healthy skin, as intense training and frequent showers can lead to dryness.

General Tips:

  • Avoid sharing personal gear or clothing with others, especially towels.
  • Use a clean towel for each shower, and replace it regularly.
  • Regularly clean your training mats, as they can harbor bacteria and fungi.
